Cutty Sark stained glass panel, Dumbarton This window was commissioned for a private residence overlooking the clyde. The house was built in the 1860's around the same time as the Cutty Sark and would have had views of the ship setting off on its maiden voyage. A stained glass panel to compliment existing beautiful painted doors and windows in a Glasgow Tenement. This panel is for a newly created room which ties in with originals while adding a piece of their own personality.
Glass painting is the original decorative technique for windows, and the process has not changed through the centuries. A total of six firings were required for this window (not including the test firings to match colours to original).
