Stained Glass Repair & Restoration

Simple repairs to damaged glass can usually be satisfactorily carried out in situ. Repairs in place require the lead cames to be cut at the soldered corners to allow the replacement glass to be inserted.

We keep a large selection of antique glass in stock and can normally find a good match for the repair. All painted stained glass can be replicated as well as the option of bonding the glass back together.

Any work beyond simple repairs must be brought back to the studio.  Toughened glass or plywood  can be used to fill the window opening while the repair is undertaken.

Safety & Security Glazing

We supply and fit toughened glass, laminated glass or poly carbonate glazing for safety or to protect your stained glass against vandalism. Please do not hesitate to phone for advice regarding which of the above options would be the best suited to you.

Repair and restoration of stained glass door and side panels Glasgow, West End. 

This door and side panels were removed and laminated  glass was fitted for security while the panel was in the studio- this was left in place when re-installing the stained glass panels.

In all  seventeen painted pieces had to be replaced on this door panel, as well as this, seven pieces were bonded  back together.
